Meet the speakers:
Chris Kirby, Senior Manager at LACE

Chris joined LACE Partners in 2021 as a Senior Manager in our HR Transformation team, specifically focusing on helping to drive our Payroll offering. His passions are Payroll and Change and he has worked in both senior operational roles (Global lead for Barclays) and as a consultant (easyJet, Barclays) in both owning/receiving and executing global change. He has worked with a vast array of Payroll solutions and providers across c50 countries, in the setup and maturing of Shared Services, and on many HR Transformation programs covering the wider HR landscape. Chris loves spending time with family friends and is also an Ultramarathon runner in his spare time.

Simon Puryer, Executive Director - Payroll Practice Lead at LACE

Simon joined LACE in May 2023 to establish and lead the Payroll Practice. With an extensive background in Consulting, Simon has delivered significant Payroll software implementation programmes within multiple clients whilst also helping businesses maximise their existing Payroll set-up. As well as Payroll, Simon has extensive experience in Retail, leading and delivering complex transformational change projects, realising benefits, minimising costs and helping businesses to succeed. Simon is also passionate about customer experience and satisfaction with a focus on people at the heart of all organisations. Simon has hosted a number of round table discussions and is a regular speaker and host of Payroll transformation webinars. He has also been awarded “Rewards 300” since 2016 – one of the Top 50 Knowledge & Professional Services Leaders in Payroll. Outside of work, Simon lives by the sea and loves getting out on the water with his family. He is also Vice Commodore of his local Sailing Club!

Lara Smart, Consulting Director at LSC Group

Lara is a recognised expert and leader within the Global Payroll & HR transformation space. She helps business leaders understand how to utilise core strategic pillars across technology, process, people, data, controls and service to drive transformational change, strategy and governance. Her clients are from all industries with a focus on leading detailed RFP’s, programme start-ups, divestures and acquisitions to recalibrating and re-baselining programmes and driving recovery plans. Using her global network of experienced consultants and vendors to deliver structured transformation and payroll change advisory; Lara is a member of several Payroll bodies globally and delivers an integral approach to delivery and quality. Lara is a dynamic and engaging leader. She has spoken at many conferences, panels, on webinars and podcasts and is a regular contributor to global publications.

Patricia Davis, Payroll & Benefits Business Partner at The Capital Group

Experienced Senior Payroll & Benefits Business Partner with a demonstrated history of working in the investment management industry. Skilled in Global Mobility, Employee Benefits Design, Payroll, Accounting, and Compensation. Strong information technology professional with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) focused in Applied Business & Management from University of Derby.
