Challenges

Following rapid and continuous growth and significant merger and acquisition activity, the client urgently needed to modernise its payroll and HR function moving from old, manual and paper-based processes to digitised, consistent and global ways of working.

 

How LACE helped

Change management:
Full end-to-end change management of the modernisation programme, spanning more than 900 individual veterinary practices across the UK and Europe, delivered in three waves. Our focus was on so much more than technology, also assessing behavioural and mindset shifts, as well as making change stick across a large, devolved and dispersed employee population. Key activities included:

  • Global leadership of the change workstream
  • Development of global change strategy and “case for change” narrative
  • Coaching of impacted leaders and HR partners, building change capability
  • Creation of target behaviours and behavioural change approach
  • Co-ordination of regional change leads and on-the-ground support
  • Set-up of local change networks to drive local engagement and adoption
  • Comms and stakeholder engagement, including C-Suite interaction
  • Training strategy and delivery
  • Business impact assessments and readiness checks
  • Post-launch support, adoption monitoring and continuous improvement.

  • Major change across a dispersed workforce is never easy but by staying close to your people and focusing on what the change truly means to them you can help reduce resistance to change and drive lasting, meaningful improvements.
  • Ensuring true alignment with the clients leadership team was key, enabling us to develop the programme scope and strategy, implementation execution, advise and lead on the change approach and help keep the client leadership aligned on the journey.
