The biggest challenges facing people analytics experts – Olly Britnell

In the latest of our series of videos featuring people analytics experts, Julian Holmes from LACE Partners sits down with Olly Britnell, Global Head of People Analytics at Philip Morris International to discuss some of the key themes from our whitepaper – Market pulse check: Seven common themes in People Analytics – that was released in march of this year. In this latest video Olly gives his thoughts on three of the seven themes we identified in the whitepaper:

  • Engaging stakeholders
  • Tech infrastructure
  • Change management

This first snippet looks at tech infrastructure, with Olly gives us his take on what he has seen and considers questions, including:

  • Should you ‘build your own’ from a data analytics perspective? Or buying ‘off the shelf’?
  • How important is it to build relationships with stakeholders early on in the process?
  • Lessons learned – what worked and what didn’t when buying or building?
  • What are the future plans and elements that he’s looking at from a technology perspective in future?
