Chris Horton | Director, LACE Partners

Chris joined LACE Partners in April 2021 as a director. He previously worked in both industry (Vodafone, Visa Europe, BP) and management consulting (Accenture). His experience brings together his two passions - people and technology, and how to get the best out of both. He has experience implementing Workday, SAP On –premise, and SuccessFactors and with setting up Shared Services, HR Operating Model, building better Employee Experience and improving decision making through Analytics. Chris loves to cook for friends and family and enjoys a good glass of wine. Every day is another day to learn. As a young child Chris was read a lot of books by Dr Seuss. His favourite was ‘Horton Hatches the Egg – and his most liked quote is ‘I meant what I said and I said what I meant – an elephant’s faithful one hundred percent.’

Jess Herniman | Manager, LACE Partners

Jess joined LACE in April 2019 and has over 7+ years’ experience working on HR Transformation programmes for large organisations, across HR technology, HR Operating Model and People Strategy; always ensuring that the people experience is at the heart of any large-scale change. Passionate about ensuring organisations manage their change to achieve sustainable adoption, Jess feels strongly that for any change to ‘stick’, you need to win the ‘hearts and minds’ of their employees, spanning from the senior stakeholders to the end users.

Caroline Keefe | Independent HR director

Caroline Keefe is an independent HR Consultant and Director with extensive experience in people operations, people partnering and large HR programmes. Her previous roles include Head of HR Services at Sky, Head of HR at the Scottish Building Society and HRBP at Heineken. Caroline also volunteers for Victim Support Scotland and is a passionate campaigner for protection from Modern Slavery. As well as all that, she’s a keen smallholder.

Aaron Alburey | Founder of LACE Partners

Aaron Alburey is Managing Director and co-founder of LACE Partners, the specialist HR and People transformation consultancy. Prior to founding LACE, Aaron held Partner positions at Deloitte and Accenture where he became known for his ability in delivering and executing complex business change and HR and Payroll projects for global cross industry clients. Passionate about the power of HR to influence business performance and productivity, Aaron is a regular writer and speaker at events on the topic. Aaron is a Fellow of the CIPD and founding member of the Company of HR Professionals. Outside of work Aaron’s time is split between his blend of six children, his love of indoor climbing and his passion for all things sci-fi.
